I am a Zed user, and the developers over at Zed have now put together a new app for collaborating more effectively with coding agents. So far, it’s been a delight to use because the diffs are first-class, review of agent-generated code is actually pleasant, and you can comment directly on the agent’s message, like in a collaborative document editing. These comments compose your prompt for the next iteration of the agent loop. I find it more pleasant to work with than any of the other harness/development tools so far because the collaborative commenting primitive makes it feel more responsive than the agent loop in other harnesses.

When testing Delta, I noticed that the blueprint skill (originally developed by Imbue) was MUCH more pleasant to use. The blueprint skill focuses the agent on asking you clarifying questions, and the interface for using the skill is a lot better in Delta. Using blueprint in other harnesses means scrolling back through the agent response to see what was asked, then writing down the answers on paper or a sticky note, because typing snaps you down to the prompt field where you can’t read the question anymore. Delta let’s you read naturally through the questions, and you can directly comment your response to each of the questions that the skill instructs the model to ask.

I recommend anyone experimenting with different tools for using coding agents: try this out! I think this far more satisfying than using the terminal agents so far, particularly for cases where you still want to see what’s happening and read the code.
